The fixative for DEKA 'aktuell' textile dyes
The Reactive Agent for DEKA 'aktuell' is absolutely necessary when dyeing with the textile dye DEKA 'aktuell' in order to fix the pigments in the fabric.
This has to be done at the beginning of dyeing.
This is how you proceed
• Thoroughly dissolve 1 sachet (20g of reactive agent) in 0,5L of hot water.
• After 5 minutes of dye time add the reactive agent slowly through the washing powder compartment of your washing machine when dyeing in your machine, or stir in by hand in your dye bath.
• When dyeing silk: 1/2 a sachet (10g of reactive agent) in 0,5L of hot water.
What should I keep in mind when dyeing with DEKA 'aktuell'?
The DEKA 'aktuell' - Textile Dye will not work without fixative.
The reactive agent is not a usual fixative for dyed fabrics. It does not fix the colour - you need it to trigger the dye reaction with the DEKA 'akuell' dye.
