The perfect holes for belts, buttons, straps
These 11 punches are all round and automatically eject punched leather. With a mallet you can punch quickly and precisely round holes into the leather.
Punches for round holes are used very often, for belt holes but also for punching holes for straps, buttons, rivets, laces, eyelets.
Punch plier or hole punch?
The clear advantage of individual punches compared with a punch plier with integrated punching dies is that you can punch holes anywhere on the leather. The punch plier can only punch at a few cm from the edge of the leather, but the hole punch can be positioned anywhere.
Two important aids to punch a neat hole are an embossing mallet and beeswax. In contrast to a metal hammer, an embossing mallet will not damage the hole punch. If the punch comes into contact with beeswax previously, it will slip easier into the leather and will be easier to pull out, too.

Saved an old belt!!
One of my favourite work belts has got a little too tight on me over the years... the other half suggested I try and fashion some new holes in a more professional way, given the office where I wear it. Used this to help, and it worked a treat - very precise and easy to use. The belt looks like it was made this way! Thank you to Patin-A for helping a guy out. :-)
