A Sanding Sponge for finely destroying and for leather patinating
Sanding sponges are easier to use than sand paper and you will need them in many situations.
For leather patinating, shoes for instance: with the help of the sanding sponge you can create the perfect worn shoe. First, grind the shoes down, then treat them with Fiebing's Antique Finish - for a smooth and shiny result.
Trousers and also other garments can very easily be aged with this sanding sponge. For a realistic aging effect you should concentrate particularly on the mouth of pockets, seams and knees.
Stable, nonslip and flexible
With its convenient size (approx. the size of the palm), the sponge fits comfortably in your hand and thus allows precise working.
We have three sanding sponges with different grains - 180 grit for very fine sanding, the sanding sponge grain 100 for finer jobs and the grain 60 for coarse grinding.
The sanding sponge is not soft but made of hard foam material with full artificial resin bond. It reacts to finger pressure and adapts particularly well to uneven surfaces.
After use, the grinding surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth in order to remove grinding particles.
Tip:
If you tap the abrasive pad out after each use you will enjoy it for longer.
