Redecker Polishing Cloth - fine
The allrounder when cleaning your shoes
This good, soft, white cotton cloth should not be missing in any shoe-polish box.
It's an extremely useful polishing cloth that comes in handy for many jobs.
Cotton is particularly gentle to leather.
For applying shoe polish, this cloth is a good alternative to a shoe polish applicator brush. Contrary to some brushes, using a cloth makes it much easier to take the right amount of shoe polish out of the tin. It allows a sensitive and precise application with the tip of your fingers and a better pressure control for spreading shoe cream.
Cotton or synthetic fibers?
Contrary to synthetic fibers, cotton cloths have a very good absorbency.
They're resistent and you can usually wash them in the washing machine at 30°C (gentle cycle) without any problems.
But be careful though not to wash the polishing cloth along with other textiles, as the shoe cream may rub off on the other textiles in the wash.
Multiple applications
1. Removing dirt: you can use the polishing cloth to remove virtually everything - from dust to dried dirt. For stronger dirt residues, you should humidify the cloth beforehand.
2. Applying shoe polish: using this cotton cloth applying shoe polish is easy. Through the warmth of the hand the polish penetrates the leather deeply and beautifully.
3. Polishing: through fast, circling movements with the soft polishing cloth you will achieve a deep, full sheen.
One cloth for all the jobs?
Please use a separate polishing cloth for each of the jobs described above (dusting, removing dirt, polishing) and for each shoe polish colour.
To prevent the shoe colours from being mixed, it is best to buy several cloths.
