Make colours puff and create relief - not only by screen printing
With Jacquard Puff Additive you can create structures on fabrics. This is not only interesting for textile artists/patinators but also for all other users that work with paints or inks on fabrics.
Jacquard Puff Additive is actually an additive for screen printing inks but can also be mixed into standard fabrics paints or acrylic paints.
How to use Jacquard Puff Additive
Mix up to 20% of Jacquard Puff Additive into your textile paint and after drying treat the colour with heat (e.g. a hot air blow-dryer). The microspheres in the Puff Additive expand with heat so that you get a raised structure only after heating. Your hot air dryer should not exceed a temperature of 135°C. Jacquard Puff Additive can also be puffed in the oven.
After puffing, the print is washable and dry-cleanable.
This works particularly well with screen printing.
To achieve best results, let the puffed colour air-harden for 72 hours before washing the textile.
On which materials can I use the Puff Additive?
On natural and synthetic fabrics, paper, vinyle, metal and leather.
Matt surface?
Jacquard Puff Additive mattifies the surface. The more additive you use, the matter the surface.
