Dirty-Down Spray - Mould

'Moulden' props, foods and costumes with Dirty-Down
With the permanent Dirty-Down-Spray - Mould costumes and props including food like e.g. toast or white bread can quickly be mouldened. This works especially well on light coloured foods and matt walls.
The spray can be used to both moulden small surfaces (splash effect) and create a big, covering mould coat.
You will get particularly realistic fungus colonies in combination with Dirty-Down-Spray - Snow/Frost (see below).
Dirty-Down-Spray is used all over the world in films and theaters and for events.
Create small mouldy areas with a splattery effect
The splattery effect is perfect for small mould areas.
Hold the can at 20cm from the surface you want to spray and press the nozzle very slightly. Scatter the splashes on the desired spots.
If you get too much spray coming out, then press much more softly.
It's so easy to get an even coverage
When spraying over a dried area of Dirty Down Frost/Snow (see below) or over larger areas, spray a covering coat.
Press the nozzle harder and it comes out fast and quite evenly. Hold the can about 30cm to 50cm away and move it from side to side. You can spray more in places if you want some areas to look darker and uneven.
Realistic mould structure with Dirty-Down - Snow/Frost
Spraying over Dirty Down Frost/Snow gives a great textured mouldy finish.
Spray just a thin coat of Frost/Snow, and then spray it over with Dirty Down Mould.
Hold the can about 30cm to 50cm away. When working on dark surfaces, make sure you cover the surface completely with Mould as otherwise areas of white will be noticeable.
If you spray on light surfaces, it may look quite good if the white colour of Snow/Frost is still a little visible (you'll have to try it out on site).
Usually, one coat of Mould will be enough, but you may have to spray a second time if you wish to create darker areas or to achieve more depth.
As far as costumes of living caracters are concerned, Dirty Down Frost/Snow can easily fall off. In this case you will have to work with a weave filler.
Dirty Down Frost/Snow works very well on dummies and corpses though.
Permanent patination with Dirty-Down - Mould
There is a gelling agent in Dirty Down Mould that gives it a lumpiness, but the gelling agent is difficult to wash out, so you should use Mould only on costumes that can stay 'mouldy' after shooting (or after the party).
Make sure to protect areas you don't want 'moulded' - like the floor underneath.

Schnee-Frost und Schimmelspray als Kombi
Ich kannte das Spray von einer anderen Produktion, hatte es aber selbst noch nie benutzt und habe extra angerufen. Mir wurde zu der Schnee-Frost-Schimmel-Kombi geraten und jetzt haben wir echt eine sehr realistische Schimmelstruktur hier am Set.
Wir würden auch gerne ein Beweisfoto hochladen ;)
