Liquid Kicks - Primer Instructions

This is how you use Liquid Kicks - Primer

Preparation:
Clean the leather surface you want to paint with a clean, lint-free cotton or microfibre cloth.
Humidify the cloth with acetone, PURE 100% Alc, ROC Leather Cleaner or Fiebing's Deglazer.
Do not overclean the surface. You will feel the surface change from smooth to sticky while you clean. As soon as you feel the change, it is sufficiently cleaned. Allow the surface to air for 10 to 20 minutes so that the solvents evaporate. Do not use a hair dryer or heater. Remove dust and remnants with a clean, dry brush.

Application of the primer:
LK Primer can be applied with a soft (bristle) brush, but preferably with the airbrush with a nozzle size between 0.2 mm and 0.7 mm and an air pressure between 25 psi and 35 psi.
Spray the primer with an airbrush from a distance of 8 to 12cm or with a spray gun from a distance of 10 to 20cm. Apply the primer in even layers, working from side to side and from top to bottom, overlapping each previous line to create medium wet layers. Let the primer dry completely before proceeding with the next layer.
You can use a hair dryer to speed up drying. Important: Allow the surface to cool completely before carrying on.

Yield:
A 59ml bottle coats more than15 pairs of leather shoes or e.g. a small armchair.
The yield on fabrics depends on the thickness and type of fibres and the size.

Storage:
Store the Primer at a temperature between 10 and 25° C and keep it away from direct sunlight to avoid oxidation. Long-term exposure to temperatures over 50° C and under 0° C may destroy the product. Close the lid carefully to avoid drying out.

Important:
Clean immediately all used tools with water and acetone. The cleaning of dried primer requires ammonia. Immediately after use, remove all traces of primer from your airbrush or spray gun to prevent dyring! Rinse until the cleaner is no longer nebulised by the primer.
