Leather Strop (double sided)
Make leather tools cutting and sharp again
Swivel knives and cutting knives are among the most important tools of any leather crafter. But these tools are only effective if regularly stropped.
No leather crafter can do without a leather strop. Blunt blades of leather knives or other knives can be stropped quickly and efficiently.
Two sides for different blades
The leather strop has a smooth side (the grain side) and a rough side (the flesh side). Both sides are leather.
You should apply Jeweler’s Rouge on both sides before first use. Strop the blade with a trailing stroke from both sides. After a while, black metal traces will be visible on the leather.
Large cutting knives can best be stropped with the rough side.
Ceramic blades can also be polished. They’re much sharper after treatment and work is so much easier.
