Effective protection against fine dust
A fine dust mask should always be worn when working with powders and pigments.
This FFP2 Mask is foldable and has a mouldable nose clip.
It is comfortable to wear as the elastic straps do not interfere behind the ears but enclose the whole head.
FFP2 is a good security standard with fine dust masks.
What does FFP2 mean?
An FFP2 Fine Dust Mask protects up to 20 times the TLV value.
(TLV value = the Threshold Limit Value indicates the maximum permissible concentration of a gas, vapour or suspended matter in the (breathing) air at the workplace, at which no damage to health is to be expected, even if one is usually exposed to the concentration for 8 hours a day, a maximum of 40 (42) hours a week).
FFP2 masks (equivalent to other international standards such as N95, KN95 and P2) are used in various sectors such as the glass industry, foundry, construction, the parmaceutical industry and in agriculture. They effectively retain powdered chemicals.
This mask can also be used to protect against respiratory viruses such as the avian flu or severe acute respiratory syndrom associated with the Covid virus (SARS) as well the bacteria of pneumonic plague or tuberculosis.
Percentage of aerosol filtration: at least 94 %.
Internal leakage rate: maximum 8%.
