Textile Fixative iDye Natural

The fixative for natural fibers from Jacquard
iDye Textile Fixative is used for after treatment of dyed fabrics.
iDye Fixative increases the colour fastness, stops bleeding of fabrics and helps to avoid discolouring.
It is a cationic resin and is only used with natural fibers (cotton, linen, rayon, hemp, etc. as well as silk and animal fibers).
iDye Fixative can also be used with other acid dyes like Procion MX, Concentrated Vinyl Sulphone, Remazol dyes and commercially dyed fabrics that may bleed. It is not suitable for synthetic fabrics.
Easy to use
With one 14.5 ml pack of iDye Fixative you can fix up to 1.3 kg of fabric. The bigger amount (= 88.7 ml) in the clear container fixes 4 to 8 kg of fabric.
Wash the garment first to remove any coatings, softeners or finishes (pretreatment only if the fabric has not been dyed previously).
Fixing with the washing machine method:
• Make sure that the fabric (after dyeing) has been thoroughly rinsed to remove any loose dye particles.
• Lay the wet textile in the washing machine.
• Select a 60°C wash cycle without prewash using as little water as possible (if you have no influence on that, take two packs of iDye Fixative)
• One pack of iDye Fixative is enough for appr. 1.3kg of fabric (dry weight), the bigger amount (= 88,7 ml) is enough for 8 kg of fabric. Pour into the washing machine drum through the washing powder compartment.
• Do not dry in direct sunlight or heat - done!
Fixing with the pot method:
• Make sure that the fabric (after dyeing) has been thoroughly rinsed to remove any loose dye particles.
• Take a pot or basin in which the fabric can be covered with water
• For 1.3kg of fabric: pour 14 ml of iDye Fixative into hot water and stir briefly
• Put wet fabric into water and stir regularly for at least 15 minutes
• Then rinse the fabric in cold water
• Do not dry in direct sunlight or heat - done!
Please note:
As iDye Fixative supports the washfastness it is recommended to wash the dyed fabrics later with similar colours in cold water up to 40°C.

Ich habe mit einer Packung fixiert und finde das Ergebnis sehr gut. Die Farbe bleibt auch nach etlichen Wäschen im Stoff und ich finde den Preis ausgesprochen günstig, da man damit 1,3kg Stoff fixieren kann.
