Tailor's wax - the secret weapon of any tailor
Tailor's Wax strengthens the thread and reduces knot formation when sewing by hand.
Just lay the thread in the slotted opening and pull it several times through the wax.
The coating with beeswax helps to stabilise the thread and to reduce the tendency to knot formation.
The special wax
The practical round beeswax plate is in a two-part transparent plastic box with three slotted openings on both sides.
Pulling the thread through one of the grooves coats it with a fine layer of wax, thus making it flexible and stable.
The practical box keeps the tailor's wax clean and always ready for use.
The tailor's wax comes in handy in many ways and can also be used to free hooked zippers and jammed drawers. Just take the wax out of the box and rub it on zippers and drawer runners to make them smooth.
