The perfect surface paint brush
We recommentd our 10 cm broad surface paint brush for distressing with paste-like colours - e.g. PATIN-PASTE.
Due to the bristle length of 4cm, the colour is easy to apply and can be rubbed into the fabric.
You will be absolutely thrilled by the visually convincing result.
Use a towel as a palette?
When distressing costumes, you will achieve best results with a "dry" surface paint brush. The bristle length is very important! This is why the PATIN-A Surface Paint Brush only has short, 4cm bristles.
Before you paint the costume, dip the Surface Paint Brush into the colour and press it out on an old terry towel. The bristles still have enough colour to dye the textile fibres.
With this technique you get an even colour application and can achieve perfect colour gradients.
A perfect mix of bristles
The PATIN-A Surface Paint Brush features a mix of boar and synthetic bristles. This mix is perfect for working with paste-like colours.
The brush has a bristle length of 4 cm. The ideal length for costume distressing jobs.
With or without handle?
Many professional textile artists prefer to work with the brush body only without the handle, as this makes painting much easier.
The wooden handle can be turned off easily and so you can decide for yourself whether you want to work with or without.
