Recycled: Scarf &tie hanger made from regenerated plastic

This scarf & tie hanger from Cortec with a width of 11.5 cm fits scarves, shawls, belts, necklaces and ties. The hook fits on any standard clothes rail.
Our plastic clothes are made from recycled MIPS plastic in Germany and therefore have a good CO2 balance. The MIPS regenerated material (polystyrene) also comes from Germany.

What does this mean for the environment?

Compared to standard plastic hangers from various suppliers, our recycled hangers save up to 64% CO2.
The product consists of 99% MIPS Regenerat (medium impact polystyrene) and 1% dye. Regional production in Germany means short transport routes and therefore significant CO2 savings (no long air or sea freight).
Even the Regenerat material is produced directly at Cortec's German factory. Sorted out, used clothes hangers are ground down and the resulting plastic or bioplastic is then reused to manufacture new products. In this process, the ground material is processed into granulate, which is moulded by injection into new clothes hangers.
