Sewing leather with a noble tool
This exclusive sewing awl with sandle wood handle makes sewing your leather piece so easy. With its pointed needle you can prick or widen holes in leather.
Through the spool fixed in the tool, this awl is a pratical little 'sewing machine'. Due to the weight of the sandalwood it lies very well in the hand.
This is included in the set: an awl haft, a thread spool, two needles and a tool.
Before sewing
This premium product has a heavy sandalwood-turned smooth and high-quality handle. The screw fastening for the needle is lacquered in black and mounted in a solid brass ring (at the upper end of the handle).
A little wrench is included in the sewing awl kit, along with two thick needles specially designed for leather and the fixed spool. You can use the wrench to open and close the upper part of the awl to clamp the desired needle strongly in or exchange it. It can also open the screw holding the spool if you want to use another colour. For easy threading, the needle should always be positioned so that the eye shows towards the spool.
Tip:
Before you start sewing or pricking holes, old or dry leather should always be soaked in water. This softens the leather and makes sewing much easier.
