How to use PATIN-GEL

This slightly pigmented gel can be applied over large areas with a surface paint brush. For small distressings, best effects are reached with a make up sponge from the PATIN-A range. You can use a little terry cloth as a palette and for mixing colour tones and slightly stroking out the sponge or brush. The gel should be applied very thinly. It is best to work with a 'dry' brush (pass the brush a couple of times over the terry cloth until there is only little gel left in the bristles). The same applies to the sponge of course. Please note: PATIN-GEL is not easy to wash out of the fibers. However you should fix the costume treated with PATIN-GEL if it has to be worn more often. Use PATIN-CREME for fixing. Rub some PATIN-CREME in your hands (Colour tone: 'Clear' or 'Sweat- & Collar Soil') and massage the cream into the painted area on the costume.

Cleaning tips with PATIN-GEL
PATIN-GEL colours are not easy to wash out of most fabrics.
Better take the costumes that are not used any more to the dry cleaner and explain to the staff that the 'dirt' is grease and water based.
With this information even stubborn stains can usually be removed easily.
In most cases, washing twice at 60º C (in the washing machine) removes 100% of the colour from the fabric.
We regret that we cannot give any guarantee for the complete removal from the fabric.
