Mode of action:
Each trap uses a special clothing moth pheromone (sex lure) that draws male moths into the sticky inner trapping surface of the trap. The lure mimics the scent released by the female moth to attract the male. With mating disrupted, no further eggs are laid.

Application:
1. Cut the bag open at the upper side and take the trap out.
2. Fold the side plates inwards and pull the white protection paper off from the trapping surface with a jerk.
3. The trap is now activated and gives off pheromones for approx. 3 months.
4. Set the trap up, put it together and place or hang it up in the desired location.

Repelling clothes moths with pheromone traps
The males find the females with the help of a sex pheromone that they secrete. This can be detected by the males over unimaginably long distances. This is where pheromone traps come in. A pheromone trap consists of the sex pheromone and an adhesive surface. It is set up to attract and trap the males.
The pheromone is incorporated into the adhesive surface of the Aeroxon Clothes Moth Trap. The trap thus acts as a kind of super female in the room. The males no longer perceive the real scents of the females in the room correctly. All they can smell is this super trap with its excessive female scent. The effect is clear: if no male can find a female, there will be no fertilised eggs for the females to distribute.
But be careful! Anyone who thinks that simply setting these traps is enough to repel the problem, is often mistaken. Mating still often occurs in cupboards, as the air circulation there is sometimes insufficient. The items must still be checked.
A common mistake is to set up too many traps in one room. The number should be limited to a maximum of two per room and they should be placed relatively centrally.
If there are too many traps in the room, the pheromone will spread throughout the entire room.The males will then no longer be able to find the females (this method is called the irritation method). However, this limits the ability to monitor the actual course of the infestation.
The traps are also referred to as monitors. They are intended to provide us with information about whether the infestation is increasing or decreasing.
In order to obtain meaningful documentation, we recommend labelling the traps and noting the number of moths with the date.

Tiptop!
Die Falle ist sehr gut um zu sehen, ob es noch Motten in der Wohnung gibt. Wenn welche drin sind, dann sollte man schnellstens handeln.

Funktioniert sehr gut
Diese Falle funktioniert! Habe ich zuerst nicht glauben möchten, aber es ist wirklich ein super Schutz, wenn man Winterkleidung in den Schränken hat. Die zieht Motten an wie ein Magnet. Wir hatten viele Jahre starken Befall und ich habe sehr viele Produkte ausprobiert. Dies ist eines der wirklich Wichtigen! Man erkennt auch gut, ob und wieviele Motten bereits da sind.
