Ludigol F ensures that the colorant remains fresh longer and that more dye can react with the fabric, making the colours brighter. It is used in tie-dye, silk painting or directly applied dye methods.
It is a very important ingredient when working with deep shades.
Ludigol F is considered by many users as indispensable when working with fibre reactive dyes such as Procion MX powder or vinylsulfone liquid dyes on silk and then steaming the work.
The mild oxidising agent prevents liquid or powder reactive dyes from decomposing when fixed by heat, e.g. when steamed or microwaved, making them duller.
Unfortunately, there are no generally applicable amounts.
The manufacturer Jacquard recommends 1 level US teaspoon (approx. 2g) per litre of water. Experienced users recommend 1 US tablespoon per litre of water - other sources use 2 US teaspoons of Ludigol F.
As a rule, the more heat you use, the more chemical you need.
So add between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of Ludigol F per litre of dye to the dye liquor.
Selling unit: 1 piece (57g)
