Fiebing's Saddle Soap is a mild soap used for 'ages' for cleaning and preserving saddles.
It is used all over the world - in the saddler and finesaddler craft, for shoe care and shoe cleaning and also for all smooth leather items like hand bags, belts, sport's equipment, holsters, leather furniture.
How does this leather soap work?
Use Saddle Soap on a regular basis to clean and condition your shoes.
This Fiebing's product cleans your shoes thoroughly and restores the natural conservation oils of the leather.
Especially after a cold and snowy winter during which your shoes have been exposed to bad weather conditions (ice, snow, frost, salt), they need the right treatment.
Saddle Soap is also ideal to prepare your shoes for winter and to prevent stains and humidity.
Fiebing's Saddle Soap makes leather water resistant, provides protection and keeps your feet dry.
Ingredients and colours
Fiebing's Saddle Soap contains soap but also important leather conditioners which provide excellent protection for leather goods:
• Lanolin, a cream containing wax - makes leather water resistant and conditions it.
• Neatsfoot oil: softens leather and refines it.
• Glycerol: moists leather and accelerates the drying process.
What soap colour should I use?
Traditionally, the yellow soap was used for saddles and saddlery, the white soap for shoes and boots.
Mind you, the yellow soap does not colour the leather, it is rather meant for the safety of the consumer.
It acts exactly like the soap you use for your hands, sometimes it is white, sometimes yellow. Neither soap transfers colour - both clean and care in the same way.
Use the black soap on black leather as it contains pigments and colours the leather slightly.
• White saddle soap: uncoloured and suited for all leathers
• Yellow saddle soap: uncoloured and suited for all leathers
• Black saddle soap: for black dyed leather (contains pigments)
Gentle cleaning with foam
Here is how to clean shoes with Saddle Soap. The following instructions apply to all leather goods:
The shoes should be dry.
Remove dirt with a damp cloth.
With a wet soft cloth rub over the soap. Foam will appear. If not, the cloth is too dry.
Now rub the foam into the leather. Don't be afraid to use too much soap - you can always dilute it with more water.
Rub both shoes completely with foam.
After drying, use a soft damp cloth and polish the remaining soap (foam) away.
Please note:
Usually the leather colour does not darken when using Saddle Soap. If you want to be sure, just test it on an inconspicuous area.
This product is not suited for suede.

Perfekte Sandalenpflege
Hallo liebe Leute, hier ist von Winter die Rede... ich empfehle aber diese wunderbare Lederseife als Sommer-Pflege für beanspruchte Sandalen. Die dürfen dann "schön" im Schrank überwintern bis zum nächsten Mal. Hab beste Erfahrungen damit gemacht. Liebe Grüße!

Schön, dass bei euch die"Fiebings"-Produktpalette so unkompliziert erhältlich sind.
Die Pro-Lederfarben von Fiebings enthalten Alkohol und sind deswegen nicht so einfach zu erhalten. Dazu kommt noch dass die Fiebings Saddlesoap in weisss bei PATIN-A problemlos erworben werden können. Diese ist bei der Anwendung auf hellen Lederutensilien der gelben Saddlesoap unbedingt vorzuziehen, da sie eben farbneutral ist, das Werkstück eben nicht mit einem leichten "Gelbschleier" überzieht. Ich als Fell- und Lederverarbeitender Handwerker bin richtig gehend glücklich, die Fa. PATIN-A gefunden zu haben. Gruß an alle tom

Pflegt alle Ledersachen
Mein Lieblingsreinigungsmittel für Leder. Ich nutze es für Schuhe, Stiefel und Taschen. Damit wird das Leder super gepflegt und imprägniert. Bevor meine Sommer- oder Winterschuhe weggestellt werden, reinige ich sie immer mit dieser wunderbaren Lederseife. Es gibt auf dem Markt keine Bessere!!!

Gute Sattelseife
Mir wurde die Seife von einer Sattlerei empfohlen, ich kannte das Produkt vorher überhaupt nicht. Es ist tatsächlich um einiges besser als irgendein normales Reinigungsprodukt, was ich sonst immer benutzt habe. Ich habe es sowohl für einen Sattel als auch meine Schuhe benutzt, weil gerade bei dem Schmuddelwetter verdreckt alles immer ziemlich schnell. Die Seife hat auf jeden Fall einen wasserabweisenden Effekt - toll!
