This FFP3 Mask has an exhalation valve that makes breathing easier and also a mouldable nose clip.
It is comfortable to wear as the elastic straps do not interfere behind the ears but enclose the whole head.
FFP3 is the highest security standard for fine dust masks.
What does FFP3 mean?
An FFP3 Fine Dust Mask protects up to 30 times the TLV value.
(TLV value = the Threshold Limit Value indicates the maximum permissible concentration of a gas, vapour or suspended matter in the (breathing) air at the workplace, at which no damage to health is to be expected, even if one is usually exposed to the concentration for 8 hours a day, a maximum of 40 (42) hours a week).
Only FFP3 masks (corresponding roughly to international standards such as N99, EN149 and P3) effectively protect the wearer from droplet aeosols, protein molecules, viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores and even highly hazardous dusts such as asbestos fibres.
Unlike simple surgical masks, such high-quality filter masks can protect the wearer - even from highly infectious pathogens like measles and tuberculosis.
