DYLON Universal-Color has become Dypro Universal-Color
The popular professional textile dye Dylon Universal-Color has been renamed and is now called Dypro Universal-Color.
Nothing has changed in the composition or the pigments - only the packaging and the name are new!
The advantage for you is that Dypro now offers colour tones that were removed from the 'Dylon' range a long time ago.
Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye is a hot water dye for synthetic fabrics made of polyamide/nylon, elastane/ Lycra@ and mixed fabrics as well as cotton, linen, viscose, wool and silk. Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye does not dye polyester fabrics. You can also use this dye for buttons, feathers, foam material, herbs etc. Objects made of polyamide (e.g. 3-D prints) will be colour intensive and dyed more pervasively.
This product is suitable for hand dye (silk and wool) as well as for machine dyeing.

What should I keep in mind for dyeing with Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye?
• 1 pack (10g of dye) is enough for 250 - 500g of fabric
• Dye temperature is 80 - 95°C
• Fabrics dyed with Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye should be washed separately at a maximum of 40°C

In addition to 1 pack of Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye you need:
• Dyeing in a pot: 60g of salt (e.g. special dye salt)
• Dyeing in the washing machine: 500g of salt
Recommendations:
• Add 1 drop of washing up liquid (removes surface tension)
• DEKA Textil-Fit - Finishing Remover (if the textile contains finishings like for ex. softener)
• DyproFix Dye Fixative for setting the colour in the fabric
• Please protect your hands with rubber gloves
If you want to dye wool and silk (hand dye only) you must use 125ml of vinegar essence instead of salt.
Hint:
Dypro Multi-Purpose Dye is not colourfast (only when fixed).
It is easy to discolour the fabric and to redye it at any time (e.g. for costumes from the costume stock used for further productions). This saves a lot of money and the costume designers are free to realise their colour concept.
The dyes are also perfectly suited for distressings as costumes can easily be partially discoloured (e.g. with Reduran / Kresto Colour).

schnell und sehr gut
Seit wir unser Farbsystem auf Farben von Patin-A umgestellt haben, arbeiten wir gern und zufriedenstellend mit ebendiesen (Dypro). Stützstrümpfe färben
Meine Kompressionsstrumpfhose hatte eine Farbe die mir nicht gefiel. Zunächst hatte ich Bedenken, dass die Strumpfhose beim einfärben mit der hohen Temperatur (muss beim Färben im Topf "gekocht" werden) ihre Eigenschaften der Kompression verliert. Aber es hat sehr gut geklappt und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Sehr empfehlenswert und man braucht keine Angst zu haben! Sehr gefreut habe ich mich auch über die kleinen, leckeren Zugaben beim Versand. Vielen Dank.

Schnelle Lieferung, toller Service
Hatte Färbefarbe gekauft, diesmal von Dypro, da die ne breitere Farbpalette haben. Päckchen kamen sehr schnell, super Gebrauchsanweisung. Farbe super schön geworden, wenngleich Färben etwas umständlicher ist, als bei dem anderen Produkt, dass ich vorher benutzt hatte. Kaufe mir die Farbe gleich nochmal!

Thank You for good products and fast shipping! I was looking all around the world to buy DILON multi purpose dies, so I am happy to find them in PATINA, in Europe. Now the new name is DYPRO, but I hope it will be as excellent as DILON. Bedankt voor de goede producten en snelle verzending! Ik zocht de hele wereld over om DILON multifunctionele matrijzen te kopen, dus ik ben blij ze te vinden in PATINA, in Europa. Nu is de nieuwe naam DYPRO, maar ik hoop dat het net zo goed zal zijn als DILON.

Sport-BH Färbung
Ich habe meine Sport-BHs gefärbt und bin sooooooo begeistert. Sie sehen aus wie neu und es war wirklich wenig Arbeit. Vorher hatte ich noch nie gefärbt und in einem Forum von der Möglichkeit, BHs zu färben, gelesen. Das ist wirklich ein toller Beitrag zum Umweltschutz, da man die Kleidung viel länger tragen kann. Ich werde in Zukunft öfters färben und auch die anderen Färbeprodukte ausprobieren. Bei mir im Schrank warten noch etliche Hosen und Shirts auf ein "Make-Over". Bin happy über mein neues Hobby ;-)
