What is special about DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye
DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye is a fantastic product for dyeing textiles and whole cloth panels evenly light and colour fast.
Can I mix the DEKA tones?
• This dye is ideal to dye towels - intense, light and wash fast colours beautify your bathroom
• The colour 'black' is particularly intensive (pros call it 'the blackest black').
• You will achieve a beautiful and absolutely even dye result.
• Allows you to dye finish free natural fabrics like cotton, linen, viscose, ramie, bamboo very easily.
• Dyeing of wool in the machine is not recommended, as it will felt.
• Synthetic fibers to not take up dye or only very slightly.
• For silk and wool we recommend hand dyeing
• All 20 DEKA tones can be mixed
What should I keep in mind when dyeing with DEKA textile dyes?
• 1 pack of dye powder contains 2 x 25g dye and 2 x 50g fixative and is enough for at least 1kg of fabric.
• The washing temperature should be 30° C or 60° C.
The colour intensity after dyeing depends on the amount of dye powder and on the fabric weight:
• Dyeing of normal shades: 1000g of fabric weight needs 2 packs of dye + 2 packs of reactive agent + 1-2kg of salt (we recommend 500g PATIN-A Special Dye Salt).
• Dyeing of pastel shades: 1000g of fabric weight needs 1 pack of dye + 1 pack of reactive agent + 2kg of salt.
• As the dye samples may not show well on your screen, we recommend that you refer to the RAL colours - RAL colour charts are available in the shop.
(These indications apply a washing machine capacity of 5kg)
• Before dyeing, thoroughly remove the finishing from the fabric. Softener is a finishing too and can influence your dye result.
For one washing machine load you need additionally (no matter how many packs of dye you use):
• 1kg of salt or 500g PATIN-A Special Dye Salt
Recommendation:
• DEKA- Textil-Fit - Finishing Remover (if the textile contains finishings)
Can I dye fabrics of different fibres?
It is important to know that only fabrics of the same fibres and weaving will turn out the same shade.
An example: For a set of bed linen the colour depth of pillow case, bed sheet and duvet cover may turn out differently.

DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye - Dye instructions:
What you need for dyeing:
• DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye
• Kitchen scales (to weigh the fabric)
• Measuring cups/jug
• Stirring spoon
• Salt (dye salt)
• Rubber gloves
How to dye:
Preparation:
• Weigh the fabric (up to 1000g of fabric for one packet of dye)
• Dilute the dye concentrate in approx. 2 litres of warm water (approx. 60°C)
• Dilute reactive agent in approx. 2 litres of warm water (approx. 60°C)
• Salt:
Fill 1 to 2kg of salt per dye into the washing machine (intense colour tones need a bigger amount of dye salt - use less salt for light colours or pastels)
or
Dilute 500g of PATIN-A Dye Salt in warm water and pour it into the washing machine
Dyeing
• Put the textiles in the washing machine
• Set on 40° - 60° C main cycle (select the longest wash cycle - without prewash cycle!)
• Wait until the fabric is wet
• When the wash cycle begins, first add the prepared salt solution and then the dye solution through the washing powder compartment. This should be done while the drum is turning.
• After 5 minutes of dyeing, slowly pour the diluted reactive agent solution through the washing powder compartment. Add 1 litre of warm water.
• If your washing machine has a cycle shorter then 40 minutes, repeat the main wash cycle before the water is pumped.
Restarting modern electronic machines is not possible, but today for most machines the main cycle is 60 minutes at least.
• Let the main cycle run completely (you can select a low spin cycle).
• After the end of the wash cycle, leave the dyed items in the machine and wash them with a mild detergent according to the type of fabric. This will wash out the excess dye and clean the machine.
The items dyed with DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye should be washed separately the first two times.
After that, they can be washed with the other laundry.
Please use a mild detergent.
Interesting facts
• In the standard washing machine (with a capacity of 4.5 - 5kg) you can only dye up to 1300g of fabric.
• Stained rubber parts of the machine do not rub off and will look normal again after the next few washes.
• Do not judge the result of your dye on the wet fabric! The wet garment will always look darker then the dry one.
• Always hang the dyed items very tight to the washing line to avoid dark streaks.
• Avoid skin contact with the dye powder or the diluted dye, as this may cause allergic reactions in rare cases. Wear rubber gloves.
• Make sure to wash the fabric before dyeing. The hottest possible is best. That will remove finishings and stains.

Duvet cover - approx. 800 g
Sheet - approx. 650 g
Tablecloth ø 160cm - approx. 350 g
Napkin - approx. 50 g
Towel - approx. 200 g
Jeans - approx. 700 g
Jacket (cotton) - approx. 370 g
T-Shirt - approx. 80 g
These fabrics can be perfectly well dyed with DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye:
• Cotton
• Linen
• Flax
• Jute
• Mixed materials with 50% cotton or linen
These fabrics cannot be dyed with DEKA Washing Machine Fabric Dye
• Synthetics
• Wool
• Silk

Hatte noch nie etwas gefärbt und war skeptisch, da ich einige Stellen im Stoff hatte, die richtig ausgeblichen waren. Hab eine alte verblichene Cordjacke in Schiefer gefärbt. Sie sieht wirklich fantastisch aus. Bin ganz glücklich darüber.

Einfach gut!!!
Seit Jahren bestelle ich immer wieder die Waschmaschinen-Farben. Da Hosen, Sweatshirts und andere schwarze Wäsche von Fabrik aus schlecht gefärbt sind, färbe ich jeweils die Wäsche nach einigen Waschgängen nach. Mit grossem Erfolg. Meine schwarze oder dunkelblaue Wäsche ist immer schön dunkel gefärbt und nicht vergraut. Nur zu empfehlen!

Sehr empfehlenswert!
das sind echt tolle Farben, wenn auch das Färben nicht ganz so einfach geht wie mit den üblichen Verdächtigen, aber es ist jeden Aufwand wert und die WaMa ist nun dank einer leer-Wäsche mit Dan Clorix auch wieder sauber ;) Sehr empfehlenswert!

Super-Qualität!
Seit Jahren bestelle ich immer wieder diese Waschmaschinen-Färbemittel und bin rundum zufrieden. Eignet sich gut zur Auffrischung der schlecht gefärbten Kleider und Pullis. Sehr zu empfehlen!

sehr gute Farbe
Habe mit der DEKA Waschmaschinenfarbe einen Sesselbezug und ein T-Shirt gefärbt und bin sehr zufrieden, sowohl mit dem Färbeergebnis (Farbe "Rubin", ergibt kräftiges Rot auf weißem Stoff und Rostrot auf hellbraunem Stoff) als auch mit der Anwendung. Die Patin-A-Anleitung ist dabei hilfreicher, weil detaillierter, als die DEKA-Anleitung (beide waren in der Lieferung enthalten). Ich habe Patin-A-Färbesalz verwendet und für ca. 700g Stoff die Menge an Farbe/Fixierer, die für 1Kg Stoff vorgesehen ist. Versand und Abwicklung liefen problemlos. Danke.

Zufällig entdecktes Fachgeschäft mit tollen Produkten auch für Nicht-Profis. U.a. diverse "Textilrettungsprodukte" und eine riesige Auswahl an zum Teil sehr spezialisierten Textilfarben, auch in Kleinpackungen, dazu ausführliche Anleitungen online. Der telefonische Kundenservice ist außerdem sehr nett und der Versand superschnell. Soweit es die Tierschutzverordnung zulässt, kommen auch mal Gummibärchenrudel mit ;) Wer Textilien färben will und mehr sucht als die üblichen Drogerie- oder Kreativmarkt-Angebote ist hier maximal richtig.

Schnelle Sache
Ohne viel Aufwand meine ganze Garderobe aufgefrischt. Diese Waschmaschinenfarbe funktioniert sehr gut und der Preis erscheint zwar hoch, aber man kommt damit ziemlich weit. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Bin sehr zufrieden
Nach früheren Versuchen mit anderen Farben aus der Drogerie hab ich endlich was gefunden was funktioniert UND hält. Es gibt eine sehr schöne Farbpalette und geliefert wird auch immer sehr schnell. Das kennt man sonst garnicht. Daumen hoch für DEKA und PATIN-A!
