What can be dyed with DEKA 'L' Textile Dye - and how?

DEKA L Textile Dye is a high quality and strongly pigmented dye for batik dyeing and dyeing of textiles.
You will achieve bright and intense colours and be delighted by the result.
The dyes can all be mixed among each other, they are lightfast and excel through even dye results.

DEKA L Textile Dye - Colour Chart

For which fabrics is DEKA 'L' ? 

DEKA 'L' is suitable for all finish free natural fabrics  - not for synthetics. (Polyester can only be dyed in a proportion up to 50% in a cotton/polyester mix fabric). 

Please note: Softener is also a finish and will have an impact on your dye result! 
Dyeing with the Batik Dye 'L' is very simple and the dyed fabric after fixing with DEKA Fixative 111L is machine washable for 30° gentle cycle.

What should I keep in mind for DEKA 'L' Dye?

• 1 sachet (10g of dye) is enough for 125g to 250g of fabric (depending on the shade density required)
• Dye temperature should at least be 60ºC.
• Dye time is 60 minutes (except for dark colours, for ex. black or navy. These textiles should be left for three hours at least or overnight in the dye liquor)

In addition to 1 sachet of DEKA Textile Dye L I need:
• 150 g of salt for dyeing in a pot or 500 g of salt for machine dyeing (Dye Salt or non iodised table salt)

• When dyeing wool or silk, you should definitely use 125ml of vinegar concentrate instead of salt.  


Our recommendation:
• DEKA- Textil-Fit - Finishing Remover  (if the textile contains finishings as for ex. softener)
• DEKA Fixative 111 L to fix the dye (this makes it machine washable up to 30°C gentle cycle)

Hint:

Without fixative DEKA 'L' Dye is not boil proof. This is very important for most costume departments as costumes very often have to be patinated after dyeing and the dye removed partially (for example with Reduran Cresto Colour). Some costumes are reused and redyed for further productions.
It is much more difficult to remove a fixed dye than an unfixed one.
Since most dyes contain fixative, this DEKA 'L' Dye has been formulated especially to suit the needs of professionals - but it is also the best dye for batik!

Seide färben

Meine Seidentücher benötigten dringend eine Auffrischung, bzw. eine neue Farbe. Schade, dass man hier keine Fotos posten kann, denn die Tücher sind unglaublich schön und farbintensiv geworden. Das Färben ist sehr einfach und wenn man sich traut die teuren Tücher ins heiße Wasser zu werfen (das Herz blutet) erhält man ganz schnell ein wunderbares Ergebnis. Traut Euch - es macht Spass und bringt eine neue Garderobe.

Färbematerialien mit guter Beratung

Habe Deka aktuell Farben und Fixierer gekauft. In den FAQ fanden sich viele wertvolle Tipps zur Anwendung. Da auf der Anleitung der Farbe nichts zum Färben von Mischfasern zu finden war, habe ich patinA kontaktiert und sehr schnell eine kompetente Antort erhalten. Vielen Dank dafür!

Ha, so geht Service!

Der übersichtliche Bestellvorgang und der Turboversand sind vorbildlich, vielen Dank dafür! Mit den Dylon- Farben war ich nicht so zufrieden. Grau wurde selbst auf einem weißen Shirt zu Khaki :-( Außderdem bluten die Farben trotz Fixerer stark aus beim Tie dye- Färben. Im normalen Farbbad wird die Qualität der Farben besser. Ganz davon abgesehen, daß mich diese kleinen Dosen schon beim Öffnen fürchterlich geärgert haben.. :-/ Die Deka Serie L Farben sind mir immer noch die liebsten. Das Fixieren klappt hervorragend und die Farben sind brillant! Und endlich habe ich einen Händler gefunden, wo ich die ganze Farbpalette bekomme, juhu! Mittlerweile ist es schwierig, an diese Serie ranzukommen. PatinA hat auf jeden Fall die volle Punktzahl! (Dylon nicht :-))

Shibori

Mein Hobby ist Shibori Färben. Die Deka L Farben funktionieren sehr gut und das Ergebnis ist so intensiv wie es keine andere Farbe schafft (habe zuerst mit anderen Farben gefärbt - aber die Farben hatten nicht diese Farbkraft!). 10 Sterne für die Deka Farben!!!
