The Super Adhesive for Skin
Adhesive 210 was developed for toupee wearers who want to wear hairpieces for several weeks without removing them from the head.
This body adhesive bonds not only hairpieces to the skin, but also feathers, rhinestones, paper, fabrics and much more.
It is skin-compatible, white when applied and becomes completely transparent after drying, at which point it develops its full bonding strength. The cured adhesive layer is permeable to water vapour, which increases wearing comfort.
This makes it interesting for your field of application: no aggressive solvents, water-based, skin-friendly, flexible, and yet permanently strong.
Application
Applying:
1. Preparation: Thoroughly clean and degrease the skin and the item to be bonded (recommendation: REMOVER/CLEANER).
2. Application: Apply Adhesive 210 thinly and evenly with a brush or the dosing tip to both surfaces, i.e. to the skin and to the material to be bonded.
3. Allow to dry: Wait until the white adhesive has become completely transparent. This step is crucial: bonding before this point will not work properly. Drying time can be shortened with a cool air dryer. Hot air must be avoided.
4. Bond: Bring the parts together without air bubbles and press firmly.
Removal:
Adhesive residue on skin and material should be thoroughly moistened with REMOVER/CLEANER and left to act for 1-2 minutes, after which the adhesive can be removed easily and without residue.
Important Notes When Bonding:
When applying stones, feathers, fabrics, paper etc. to skin, there are a few things to note that go beyond the original toupee application:
Suitability by material:
• Smooth, non-porous materials (stones, glass, plastics, foils): very good adhesion
• Feathers, fabrics, paper (porous): works, but the bond is weaker than with foils, as the adhesive is partially absorbed
• Latex/silicone: better-suited alternatives exist for these (e.g. Mastix)
Relevant for film/theatre use:
• Always coat both surfaces and allow to dry completely before joining
• It works significantly better on degreased skin (no sweat, no body lotion) — wipe the area with Remover beforehand
• Heavy sweating or very oily skin can significantly reduce adhesion time
Always keep on hand: The matching REMOVER/CLEANER, so that performers can be cleaned gently and thoroughly after the shoot.
