Adjustable Creaser
Professional seam or decorative lines with the creaser
A creaser is a marvellous tool to draw parallel decorative lines at the same distance from the edge of the leather. With this tool, you can embellish your leather project easily and give it a professional touch or draw a reference line for a seam.
The adjusting screw allows to vary the distance between the line and the leather edge.
Correct use and perfect results
Humidify the leather piece and leave to dry before starting with the creaser. Now, pull the upper side of the creaser (the pointed side) along the leather piece. For a deeper line, repeat this operation several times.
You should always work pulling the creaser towards you and not pushing it.
The creaser is often used for a beautiful and even seam line in which you can then punch stitching holes or lacing holes.
The rounded side of the creaser is used in particular for decorative lines. Here again, first draw a line with the upper side of the tool, which will then be reinforced with the rounded side.
Using a modeling tool you can then bevel the grooves.
